HYDROGRID Partners with ENGESP to Enhance Hydropower Operations at PCH Porto Franco

ENGESP, a leading energy company in Goiás, Brazil, is excited to announce a strategic partnership with HYDROGRID, the digitalization pioneer based in Vienna, to optimize the operational efficiency and sustainability of the PCH Porto Franco hydropower plant. This collaboration will focus on addressing critical market needs such as water management, spill reduction, and managing weather volatility through advanced digital solutions.

Weather volatility and spill management are significant challenges for the local hydropower operations. The ‘HYDROGRID Insight’ platform includes fine-tuned forecasting tools that will be used to manage the impacts of unpredictable weather patterns, ensuring optimal water usage and minimizing spillage. This capability is expected to raise the bar for maintaining consistent and efficient energy production at Porto Franco.
